Frank William Simcik, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, September 29, 2016. He was the husband of Shirley Ann Myers Simcik.
Born October 01, 1927 in Reading, PA, Frank was a son of the late Stephan Simcik and the late Pauline Ulicny Simcik. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by daughter, Stephanie S. Ruskin and her husband, Alan, of Arnold, MD, and 7 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Simcik, a sister, Mary Kastura, and a nephew, Ronald Kastura.
Frank proudly served our country as a member of U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He graduated from Kutztown State University, and attended the Breadloaf College of English at Middlebury College in Vermont. He earned various insurance degrees from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, which lead to a lifelong career in the life insurance industry.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Towson, Maryland. A memorial service will be held in Lynchburg at a later date.
