Paul Bell, age 86, of Forest, went on to be with the Lord Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Paul was a member of American Legion Post 153 (Brookneal.)
He is survived by his three children, Cynthia B. Mayhew, Bonnie Hager, and Bennett Bell, all of Forest; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Hartman, June Colbert, and Becky Mitchell; a brother, Ed Bell.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Bethel Pentecostal Church Cemetery 2635 Tabor Rd, Gladys, Va. 24554 with Pastor Brad Hedrick officiating and military honors by American Legion Post 26 (Alta Vista) and Post 232 (Gretna).
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
