Mitzi Gail Fisher, age 69, of Roanoke, VA died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born on July 15, 1948 in Valls Creek, WV, she was a daughter of the late Edward Thomas Jackson and Ruth Ann Lockhart Jackson.
Mitzi dearly loved her family. Despite having a massive stroke in 2014, she continued to take every opportunity to tell her family how much she loved them. Mitzi was also known for her musical talents. She was a long time singer and pianist at Salem Church of God.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel Fisher; daughter Angela Hope Fisher Craighead and husband Steven of Roanoke, VA; son Eric Fisher and wife Melissa of Roanoke, VA; granddaughter Savanna Fisher; brother Ronnie Stevenson and wife, Janice of Cedar Bluff, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Upon her passing, Mitzi has been joyfully reunited with her beloved grandson, Cory Craighead.
